How to Use Satellite Tracking Page

How do you view the Satellite tracking information?

 Step one:

Go to ww.swt.org.uk, and click on the top menu bar “Things to Do” and  “ Osprey Tracking”

Or click this link: http://scottishwildlifetrust.org.uk/things-to-do/osprey/

Step Two: The map automatically comes up with the most recent bird ( Blue YZ) but if you want to decide manually which bird you would like to see information for, choose either ‘2012′ chicks for Blue 44 and Blue YD or   ‘2013′ for   Blue YZ by going to the box below the map labelled “ Legend”- simply choose the relevant year on the tick box  to bring up the bird you want.

If you’d like more information about an individual bird,  click on the next tab “ Bird information” which has portraits of each chick.

Step Three: Zoom in on the map using the + and – symbols on the left to see more detail.

Step Four: Hover over each flag with a star or click on it and it will bring a balloon up with more detail such as time, altitude and flight speed  and so on.

It is that easy- enjoy!
