Camera Issues
Our apologies for any interference with your webcam images today- we are well aware of the problems and have been frantically working on them this afternoon.
We are very very lucky to have Lindsay Robertson, our VOLUNTEER camera technician, who devotes many days of effort every year to helping us run our wide assortment of cameras. Lindsay pioneered the use of cameras at Loch of the Lowes and has seen every type of technical hitch, glitch and frustration imaginable in his many many years with us. He will be the first to tell you that there are always teething problems with cameras and sometimes problems caused by distance, wear and tear and even heat. It has been so very warm today at Loch of the Lowes we suspect an old problem we have had in the past in the summer has occurred again- the camera overheating!
Lindsay and I have been attempting to repair the camera this evening, which is why some of you may have noticed voices on the webcam briefly- and me coughing! Our apologies if you were alarmed by this- and thank you to those of you who thought to notify us in case anything was wrong. Rest assured we ARE watching the nest constantly, and nothing that could harm our birds goes unnoticed.
Your patience with camera glitches is very much appreciated by Lindsay and all the team here at Loch of the Lowes. We hope to have a good image restored tommorrow.
