Good morning folks!

As I walked down to the Loch earlier I heard the eerie, echoing cracks of the thinning ice on the loch reverberate in the still morning air. Our skein of 300 or so Canada geese have been spending their nights out on a small patch of clear water on the Loch and during the morning will congregate en masse in the surrounding fields.

Yesterday I caught a glimpse of our female Sparrowhawk perched adjacent to the Crannog hide, surveying the feeding area with a critical eye. It’s great to see our female around more often as we’re so used to seeing our male attempt to catch himself a meal or two, I just hope she can teach him a trick or two about hunting!
