Loch of the Lowes Wildlife Blog 28th January 2011

Good Morning folks!

I do recall telling you all that the weather was being much kinder to us a few days. Now I shall have to take my words back as the temperature has taken a steep dip of late and the loch is now frozen over again!

Over the last few days our resident Treecreeper has been very active, coming out to forage during most afternoons. Yesterday I was very pleased to see our little Treecreeper make a few tentative hops towards the peanut feeder for a little look inside. They are usually very shy and  nervous birds who prefer the camoflage and undercover of trees, so its lovely to see them out in the open.

On a quick aside, I’m not leaving yet! I am being kept on at Lowes until the end of February, so I shan’t be having to make any hasty goodbyes quite yet. Thanks again to all of you for your kind wishes!

Happy blogging and take care,

Charlotte
