Let the sun shine! The monsoons in the glens have abated, for now…allowing time for wildlife to feed.

I led our regular walk on a brilliant misty thursday morn this week. Upon strolling, I remembered noting the thousands of fresh insects that had recently appeared. I was reminded by spiders. Yes, spiders. On my stroll up, down and through there were thousands of lacey webs covering every intersection of green growth. More than I could ask or imagine. Each one was highlighted by the freshest of perfect dew. I encountered both roe and fallow deer. On the pasture were a few mistle thrush, as a young buzzard flew through into the mist. The large thrushes just appeared. They too must be fluid. Siskins were feeding on catkins overhead. New to me was my noting of  wych elm trees. I had walked past them many times before. Unnoticed. It was a fine walk.

On the golf course yesterday evening by our parking lot there was a flock of mistle thrush to send me home to be with friends.

I will not be at this post until another time. I shall be off on a short break and then seeking other glades to glow. I have learned much from each and every blog person over this season. I hope that I have shared some joy.
