Loch of the Lowes Info 23rd Sept

Another grey day here at Lowes and the wind is picking up causing a shower of leaves.
The birds and squirrels seem to know whats in store for the next few months and are frantically fattening themselves up for a cold snap.

Last night the heavens opened and the wildlife ran for cover. Apart from a few hedgehogs and 5 deer about before and after the rain nothing much was seen before the pine marten showed up at 3.24am for a 5min feast. That was the only showing and apart from a couple of dear around 5.30am, the wildlife obviously decided it was a night to stay tucked up in bed, and who can blame them!
