Well, the last couple of days have been truely eventful: yet more intruder drama at our osprey nest ( with the bold bird even landing on our ladys’ back on Monday night) ; a visit from a red squirrel to the nest; a pine cone being incubated alongside the eggs; our male doing dive bombing raids on geese and swans on the loch; and more fish deliveries than ever!

I must admit, as our lairds biggest doubter at first ( can that only be four short weeks ago?) I have to give him due credit now- he really has improved out of sight. Whether he is simply fishing more, or is fishing further afield -at least two rainbow trout have been amongst his recent catches- he is bringing in at least three fish  a day and a bigger average size. This could also be, as some of you have suggested, that the water temperature locally is finally warming up, bringing the larger fish closer to the surface where he can catch them at long last! This is because he can only dive about 3 feet ( or 1metre) into the water.  Keep up the great work lad!
