Job Opportunity

Do you live in Angus?

Are you between the ages of 16-19?

Are you looking to pursue a career in conservation or in a visitor focused environment?

Are you registered unemployed with the JobCentre and not already on any other work-scheme?

If so, read on…

There is a vacancy at the Montrose Basin Visitor Centre for a six-month paid work placement through the Community Jobs Scotland work scheme. The successful applicant will be working in our four star Visitor Centre, meeting & greeting visitors, taking money for admissions & shop sales, and helping them to enjoy the wildlife experience on offer. There will also be opportunities to gain some practical conservation experience working on the Reserve on an occasional basis.

If this sounds like the kind of work experience that you’re looking for and you are eligble to apply then speak to your advisor at your local Jobcentre now! The post is due to start on 1st March so get your application in asap.

Please note: all applications must be made through the Jobcentre – we cannot accept direct applications. We can however provide further information about the role or Montrose Basin if you have any questions.

You can find more information about the Community Jobs Scotland scheme athttp://www.scvo.org.uk/training-employability/community-jobs-scotland/about-community-jobs-scotland/

Good luck with your application

Craig Shepherd,

Visitor Centre Assistant Manager.
