Troubleshooting
Hello blog followers,
We wanted to keep you informed that our IT support staff are currently visiting Loch of the Lowes and are working hard to investigate the recent problems we have experienced with the sound on the web cameras. We apologise for any disruption this has caused so far today, and for any further disruption which might follow. We are hopeful that we will be able to identify and solve any problems soon.
We are still receiving a few enquiries regarding the picture quality. Unfortunately, at this time we are currently streaming the best quality image possible to the web cam. We hope to get some new equipment in the next few days which should slightly improve the quality, however we unfortunately don’t expect to be able to improve it significantly in the short term. We are investigating options to improve this in the longer term. We realise that the current picture quality is not as good as it was last year, and we are as disappointed as you that this is the case. We are doing all we can and working as fast as we can to see if we can find a solution.
We have also received a few emails regarding the streaming of footage on camera 1 and camera 2. To try and clear up any confusion, we’d like to clarify that, due to band width issues, we can only stream one camera at any given time. To make this process simpler, we will be removing one of the camera pages today and we will simply have one camera running at Loch of the Lowes. This camera will stream the ‘daytime camera’ during the day and the ‘security camera’ which allows infra-red for night vision after 5 pm.
We will be working on these updates today and as always, we are very grateful for your understanding and patience.
We will keep you updated if there are any further developments.
