Forthcoming event: Book signing - Lady of the Loch, by author Helen Armitage. Sunday 20th May at 2pm at the Visitor Centre. A chance to meet the author of this much loved book, get a signed copy and have your questions answered in her question and answer session. About Loch of the Lowes
Loch of the Lowes Visitor Centre and Wildlife Reserve covers 98 hectares near Dunkeld. From early April to late August, the star attraction is a pair of breeding ospreys, which nest just 150 metres from our observation hide. Highlights include:
- Get closer to the ospreys with binoculars, telescopes and live video footage
- Chance to see red squirrels, woodpeckers and other woodland birds from viewing windows
- Interactive displays help bring the story of Lowes to life
- Programme of education activities and school visits
- Regular osprey and ranger walks throughout the year

Visitor information
The Visitor Centre is open daily from 10 March to 31 October (from 10 am to 5 pm) and from 1 November to 28 February, Friday to Sunday only (from 10.30 am to 4 pm). It is closed between 28 and 30 December.
