Falls of Clyde Wildlife Watch Group

Also known as “The Hawks”, The Falls of Clyde Wildlife Watch group arranges a variety of fun activities and events for children aged 5 to 14 years, children under 8 need to bring an adult.

The Falls of Clyde National Nature Reserve is a remarkable place; it boasts an inspirational landscape of beautiful ancient woodlands, an abundance of rare and protected wildlife including peregrine falcons and badgers, and of course, spectacular waterfalls.

What we do

From nature trails to scavenger hunts, arts and crafts to fungal forays, there are loads of cool ways to get closer to wildlife in your area.  The group meet once a month at Falls of Clyde Visitor Centre, usually between 10 and 12noon, but please do check individual events as times can vary.  Most activities cost £1 per child, unless stated otherwise.

How to get involved

The Falls of Clyde Wildlife Watch group meets once a month in the picturesque surroundings of the Falls of Clyde nature reserve, New Lanark. If you would like to come along to any of our events, please contact us for further information.

Mini Reserves Managers

10am – 12pm

Our junior Wildlife Watch group will become mini reserves managers, getting their hands dirty on the reserve! Come and help the rangers manage the woodland for wildlife.

Suitable for children aged five to 13 years old – children under eight must be accompanied by an adult.

Meet at Falls of Clyde Visitor Centre – Clyde Room.

Little Critters

10am – 12pm

Join us to make litter critters and discover more about the dangers of plastic and litter to wildlife.
