Guided walk around Loch Ardinning

Join reserve manager Billy Gray on a guided walk round this Scottish Wildlife Trust reserve.

The reserve consists of 148 hectares and covers Loch Ardinning, the woodland surrounding the loch and Muirhouse Muir. As well as telling us about the wildlife, Reserve Manager Billy Gray will tell us about the conservation work being undertaken by the Trust and volunteers, including planting native species of trees, local control of bracken and maximising the stretches of open water. There should be plenty of opportunities for spotting wildlife, particularly wildfowl, at this time of year.

Booking essential. Adults only please and no dogs (except assistance dogs) allowed. Bring binoculars, waterproof clothing and footwear. Parking nearby.

To find out more, and for any booking queries, please contact Mike Turner 0141 357 0094.

Suggested donation: £2 per person, payable when booking or in cash on the day. All donations help us to continue to bring an interesting and varied selection of events to our audience as well as supporting local wildlife causes. Please donate if you can.

Due to the current need to restrict attendee numbers and for contact tracing purposes, booking through the website is essential. Please note that face-to-face events are subject to Covid-19 restrictions changing at short notice. Any changes to events will be communicated to attendees via email by the organiser. Please check your email in advance of attending events.
