Kingfisher sightings
The past few weeks have been great for kingfisher spotting particularly outside our visitor centre and along the boardwalk. I think the boardwalk has had more success of late because it’s closed, so there is little disturbance from folk apart from the workmen who are busy building us a new boardwalk!
Whenever I see a kingfisher I am always surprised at how small they are, in my mind they always seem much bigger. Maybe it’s their big personality and showy colours!
Whilst in the office last week I managed to snap a photo or two. My first was rather unsuccessful, we really need to clean our windows (if you’ve visited you will know why we haven’t tackled it often)!

My second photo was rather more successful!
