Follow on from the previous post, other birds that flock together include long tailed tits that will huddle together on a branch overnight for communal warmth. Some birds will even congregate in nest boxes which is why it’s important to keep your box up all year round in good draught proof condition. Not all birds flock together; robins for instance fluff up their feathers creating warm pockets of air for additional insulation.
