Creepy birds
It can be very useful when the name of something is also a perfect description of it.
Treecreepers are one of those aptly named things. They are almost always found creeping about in trees!
This behaviour coupled with their bark like colouring can make them difficult to spot. If you get a flash of their bright white tummies, then it makes things that bit easier.
Look out for their slender, downwardly curving bill which they use to prise insects out of the bark on trees.
A top spot for this creepy bird is along the woodland trail, between the service track and the pond. In particular watch out for them in the trees by the benches overlooking the steep slope.
