Scottish Charity of the Year Award – vote for us!!

As you may have read on our website, the Scottish Wildlife Trust has been nominated for SCVO’s prestigious Charity of the Year award.

Aside from everything we do here at Loch of the Lowes to protect the ospreys, the Trust has achieved a huge amount over the past 12 months through the hard work and dedication of around 100 members of staff and over 1,000 volunteers.

We’ve led a successful campaign to ban three pesticides harmful to bees; reached the conclusion of the groundbreaking Scottish Beaver Trial in Knapdale; organised a global conference on the rapidly emerging topic of natural capital; and taken a leading role in one of Europe’s largest landscape regeneration projects – the Coigach – Assynt Living Landscape.

With this year marking the 50th anniversary of the Trust’s foundation in 1964, winning the Scottish Charity of the Year award would be the perfect way to celebrate.

We’d be extremely grateful if you would please take a moment to vote for us as Charity of the Year. The closing date for voting is 5pm on Friday 9 May.
