Wildlife Diary Monday 2nd September

Not too much to report today. Both the male and chick are still here, Blue YZ is on the Skeleton Tree preening at the moment and not shouting for fish! We had an intruder Osprey in yesterday that successfully fished in our loch bringing up a huge fish before disappearing with it thrilling everyone in the hides.

Out on the loch the Goosanders have been playing around and the Grebe cruising around their usual area. The fungi is begining to appear with all sorts of interesting colours, shapes and locations, why not find a local fungi walk near you and find out more about these seasonal sprouters? Our Ayrshire Members Centre are holding a Fungal Foray on Saturday 14 September, you can find out more in our Events & Activities booklet or on our website
