Webcam update & evening osprey news

Unfortunately, despite their best efforts our web hosting company have so far been unable to fix the problems currently preventing the streaming of all Scottish Wildlife Trust webcams.

We would like to reiterate that this situation is beyond the control of staff at Loch of the Lowes and within the Trust as a whole. We are all very frustrated by the problems, which have come at a critical time for our ospreys, and apologise for the disappointment caused. We hope to have the cameras restored as soon as possible tomorrow.

I have just spoken to the Species Protection Officers that have been on duty this evening and they have provided me with an update. It has been a quiet evening at the nest with thankfully no sign of an imminent hatching. At 9:57pm 7Y arrived at the nest with a fish, however the female who was very settled showed no interest in claiming it for herself. Consequently, having taken a few bites of the fish on the nest 7Y departed.

We will bring you more news as and when there are any developments tomorrow.
