Loch of the Lowes Wildlife Info 22 September 2010

Good morning all ,

What a wet horrible day it is here at Lowes, only good for the ducks I think.    We were a bit an nervous about moving the feeding tray  yesterday just in case the pine marten did not take to it.   It was not until after midnight (unless any one else spotted it before) that it managed to find the new feeder and munch away for about five minutes.

The deer were around but I did notice they were a bit wary at first. They soon overcame their fear and used the lower feeder tray.

We know some of you aren’t liking the new set-up to much, but we’ve done this to give the tree a break from all the traffic and hopefully allow some foliage to re-grow around that area. We’ll see if we can sort the night vision cam so there isn’t as much glare. We’re still able to move the other camera onto sights of interest, so the squirrels will still be seen 🙂
