Edinburgh Wildlife Watch Group

Based in Holyrood Park for 5 – 10 year olds. We usually meet at Holyrood Park Education Centre on the last Sunday of every month from 10am – 12noon.  Most sessions are £2 unless otherwise stated.

What we do

The Edinburgh Wildlife Watch group arranges a variety of fun activities and events for children aged 5 to 10. From nature trails to scavenger hunts, arts and crafts to fungal forays, there are loads of cool ways to get closer to wildlife in your area.

Sea, sand and shells!

10am  – 12pm

Let’s head down to the beach to see what sort of wildlife lives there. A special guest from the Marine Conservation Society will join us to explain how our sea creatures and beach wildlife are in danger and how we can help them survive and thrive.

Bats in the city

(Thursday)

18:30 – 19:30

Urban bats, yes there are, right in the middle of your city! Join us for our short bat walk to see the bats of Holyrood park at dusk.
This was a popular session last year so please book in advance.
