Edinburgh Wildlife Watch Group

Based in Holyrood Park for 5 – 10 year olds. We usually meet at Holyrood Park Education Centre on the last Sunday of every month from 10am – 12noon.  Most sessions are £2 unless otherwise stated.

What we do

The Edinburgh Wildlife Watch group arranges a variety of fun activities and events for children aged 5 to 10. From nature trails to scavenger hunts, arts and crafts to fungal forays, there are loads of cool ways to get closer to wildlife in your area.

Happy Halloween at Bawsinch!

3pm – 5pm

It’s almost Halloween! Join us to create some spooky wildlife art, make trails through the woods and find out what causes the leaves on the trees change colour! We’ll look for autumn wildlife as dusk falls on the reserve and the creatures of night come out.

Sleepy animals and Marvellous Migration at Bawsinch!

10am – 12 pm

It’s hard getting up in the morning when it’s cold and dark! No wonder some creatures don’t bother and hibernate till the spring while others head off to warmer places! But how and why do they travel so far and how do those that stay they keep warm and survive the winter? Come along to Bawsinch and we’ll see if we can discover the answers!
