Spey Bay Volunteer Day – Himalayan balsam removal

Join the Scottish Wildlife Trust and the dedicated team of volunteers at Spey Bay in removing invasive plant species.

A monthly work party is held at the Trust’s Spey Bay Wildlife Reserve - a great opportunity to meet new people and connect with nature. Join Beth, our Reserves Project Officer, to undertake essential reserve maintenance tasks at this wonderful coastal reserve. This month's task will be the removal of the invasive plant Himalayan Balsam from the woodlands.

For more information, please contact Beth Harwood at eharwood@scottishwildlifetrust.org.uk or on 07920 468 567. If this is your first time volunteering at Spey Bay, please let Beth know before coming out, in case of a rare occasion when we may have to cancel due to extreme weather or illness.

Tools and gloves are provided. Family friendly but children must be with an adult. Please bring lunch, snacks and plenty to drink. Suitable outdoor clothing and footwear is recommended, including warm layers and waterproofs. Parking nearby.

Meet at the Viaduct Car Park, grid reference NJ 34742 64203
