Scotland is renowned for its magnificent wildlife and dramatic landscapes. As a member of the Scottish Wildlife Trust, you have already shown that wildlife means a lot to you. But did you know that as well as providing inspiration and enjoyment, nature is our life support system and is vital to everything we do?

Centuries of exploitation have led to the loss of much of our native woodlands, huge areas of our peatlands and almost all of our wildflower meadows. The Scottish Wildlife Trust is working to avoid losing these precious places and the wildlife found there.

Becoming a Wildlife Guardian

Whilst every membership subscription and donation is vitally important, we understand that some people want to do even more for Scotland’s wildlife. If you are in a position to give a little extra each month to help protect some of your favourite species, we invite you to become one of our very first Wildlife Guardians as we trial this exciting new initiative.

Starting from just £7.50 per month, you will be demonstrating your commitment to protecting Scotland’s wildlife for future generations. As well as knowing that you are making a very real difference, as a Wildlife Guardian you will have the opportunity to learn more about our work in the areas that interest you most. You will also receive invitations to special events full of like-minded people and be acknowledged on our website and in our magazine (Bronze level and above).
