Whilst the peregrines have been breeding, two of the paths on the reserve have been shut to minimise the disturbance to them. Now the peregrines have left the nest both paths are now open.

One of these paths is opposite the peregrine watch site and since March I have only walked down it three times. Each time I do I am surprised by how a slightly different angle of view can alter a normally familiar scene.

The paths on the West side of the reserve (the other side from New Lanark) feel wilder and there is more chance to spot elusive wildlife such as deer and woodpeckers.

This path can be included in the circular routes of Bonnington and Corehouse trails or as part of a longer circular walk via Kirkfield Bank.

Give it a go and see things from a different angle.
