A quick update on FR3 who remains settled in the Gambia.

Over the past few weeks FR3 hasn’t ventured far beyond the confines of the bolon (creek) to the north of Bulok. The exception to this was over the afternoon of 26th May when our young osprey made a quick circuit to the east in the direction of Sutu Sinjang, returning the following morning.

FR3 has been utilising three main roost sites during this period, all close to the edge of the bolon. Looking at the historical data these match up with past roosting locations so our young osprey clearly has a well-established pattern.
