Osprey LM12 found dead

It is with a very heavy heart that we announce that LM12, a male osprey that has bred on the Trust’s Loch of the Lowes Wildlife Reserve since 2012, was found dead near Dunkeld on Friday 3 May.

The following day, Police Scotland issued a statement appealing for any information that the local community might have that could help establish the circumstances of death.

The team are devastated at this news and we know many of you will also be. We would like to thank those that have left supportive comments on social media.

Given the ongoing police investigation, we are not able to provide any further information at this time but will share any updates as they become available.
