Osprey Migration update 17th October

Just a quick update on our young satellite tagged ospreys. There has been no significant movement by either Blue 44 or Blue YD in the respective locations of SW France and Senegal. Both appear to have settled into a daily routine of exploring their local area by day, presumably catching the odd fish along the way, and then roosting up by early evening at one of their favoured roost sites.

This is perfectly normal behaviour for wintering ospreys and only time will tell if either of them decides to decamp and move elsewhere.
