Some of our winter visitors have arrived with two Whooper Swans being spotted at the top of the loch. We’ve also had some Long Tailed Tits dotting around the hides and centre while our Squirrels have been busy and their ear tufts are beginning to appear.

Our little Ospreys are both still in the same places. Blue 44 (aka Toton) has been seen at Étang Blanc several times by Mathieu Moulis, one of Stéphanie and Paul’s colleagues. Blue YD has tried out a new place but not far from his regular roosting spots.

Our young Hedgehog hasn’t returned to the feeding stations which we hope is a good sign.

We’ve had couple of great events in the last couple of days with our Creatures of the Night event spotting three different types of Bats – Soprano Pipistrelles, Common Pipistrelles and Daubenton’s and getting a fantastic view of the Beaver on its nightly meanderings. Today we had our Awesome Autumn family event and are looking forward to lots of family and other fun events throughout the winter.
