Spey Bay volunteer day – scrub clearance

Join Scottish Wildlife Trust and our dedicated team of volunteers in clearing scrub to improve habitat for rare small blue butterfly.

A monthly work party is held at the Trust’s Spey Bay Wildlife Reserve. Join Beth our Reserves Project Officer to undertake essential reserve maintenance tasks at this wonderful coastal reserve. This month's task will include scrub clearance on the Lein to improve habitat for the rare small blue butterfly. For more information please visit https://scottishwildlifetrust.org.uk/how-to-help/become-a-volunteer/volunteer/ or contact Beth Harwood eharwood@scottishwildlifetrust.org.uk at 07920 468 567. If this is your first time volunteering at Spey Bay, please let Beth know before coming out, in case of a rare occasion when we may have to cancel due to extreme weather or illness.

We will meet at the carpark on the Lein in Kingston, grid ref NJ 3349865658.

Tools and gloves will be provided; please bring a packed lunch, snacks and plenty to drink. Suitable outdoor clothing and footwear is recommended, including warm layers and waterproofs. This is a family friendly event, but children must be accompanied by an adult.
