“I enjoy learning new skills and using all the hand tools on offer. It is great fun cutting back hedges and seeing the immediate changes we have made as a group in a short period of time.”
Wednesday Weekday Volunteers
“I came along only a few months ago and it has helped me to get out and mix in company. I have had a hard time since suffering a close family bereavement. When I get low it really helps me to get out, meet people and enjoy some company doing something different.”
Time Out Thursday
“I am so glad a friend recommended I join over four years ago. We have a What’sApp group to catch up for a coffee and chat after undertaking some light work and a short walk afterwards. I would encourage more people to come along and get outdoors with company. It is time well spent.”
Time Out Thursday
“I’ve always had a great fondness of nature and wildlife. This group enables me to actively contribute to the conservation of it.
“I love working alongside community groups with like-minded people, helping and learning, to enhance and improve our wildlife locally. I enjoy getting stuck in to jobs, with the hope of introducing more wildlife to our area and looking after the nature on our doorstep.”
Monthly Community Conservation Volunteers
“I have a love of nature and it is so amazing to be able to give back. I like walking past places where I have helped to make it a better place to thrive. Volunteering has taught me lots of practical skills, enabling me to build on my knowledge.”
