Badger Intern – Introductions and new trail cam footage

I’m Camille and I am 23 years old. I will be staying here in Falls of Clyde for the next 6 months as an intern. I come from France where I am studying ecology and biodiversity management. I am here to do my Master’s thesis and it will be as a part of the Badgers in the Landscape project that Scottish Badgers runs in partnership with the Scottish Wildlife Trust. I will therefore participate in badgers’ surveys and use trail cameras to do setts monitoring. I will also be involved in some education and events about badgers.

Laura Preston showed me the Falls of Clyde reserve this week and we went to collect videos from camera traps that had been set around badgers’ settlement throughout the Christmas holidays. Here are some of the footage we’ve got:

 

I am excited to start this project and I will learn more about it next week!
