Victorian Grand Tour
If you are interested in the history of New Lanark and the Falls of Clyde, curious about what was happening on the reserve 150 years ago, or just looking for a woodland walk with a difference then we have an exciting upcoming event just for you! On Saturday the 12th of July we will be having a Victorian grand tour. Come along for the afternoon and meet your guide, Lady Geraldine Lockhart Ross, who will take you back to the 19th Centuary for a trip into the Falls of Clyde’s fascinating past.
This is a free event supported by the Clyde and Avon Valley Partnership and a great way see a different side to the reserve and to find out more about the local area’s past. This fantastic guided walk will combine the history of New Lanark and the Clyde valley with the wildlife and nature of the reserve. We recommend bringing sturdy boots and wearing suitable waterproof and warm clothing.
For more details and to book onto this event please call our office on 01555 665 262 or email fallsofclyde@scottishwildlifetrust.org.uk
Look forward to seeing you there!
