Angus & Dundee Group – committee members

Title: Committee members

Status: Occasional, part time.

Location: Largely home based

Closing date: Ideally by 30/03/2024 (our AGM is in April) but we will recruit as volunteers come forward.

The Angus and Dundee Local Group is run by a committee of volunteers. We currently organise a programme consisting primarily of summer walks and winter talks (held in Forfar). We also support our local Scottish Wildlife Trust Reserves. We are looking for new enthusiastic and dynamic members to help take the work of the Group forward.

What we are looking for (not all in the same person!):

  • Organisational and administrative skills
  • Enthusiasm for Scottish wildlife and the desire to share this with others
  • Experience in setting up and overseeing social media activities
  • Knowledge of the local area to help organise walks
  • Availability to attend 5-6 committee meetings per year (in Forfar or via Zoom)
  • IT skills in Zoom, Websites, and email (or the desire to learn about them)

What you will get in return:

  • Opportunity to help guide the Group’s activities and development
  • Enhanced team-working and problem-solving skills
  • Pleasure from sharing your enthusiasm for wildlife with like-minded people
