Nicola Munro

As Head of Environmental Policy in the Scottish Government, Nicola led work on aspects of natural heritage including wildlife protection, national parks and sponsorship of Scottish Natural Heritage. That work also extended to biodiversity, climate change and sustainability. In the post that followed, her work spanned reform of the planning system and responsibility for charity regulation, volunteering band social inclusion. Since retirement, Nicola has been a board member of two Scottish charities and Scotland’s consumer council. Exploring Scotland’s countryside and wildlife sites has always been a pleasure and an education. Nicola is married with two grown-up children and one nature-hungry grandchild.
