Tullich Wildflower grassland – come and lend a hand

Part of the Nature Deeside Festival

As part of the Deeside Nature Festival, join us at Tullich Kirk wildflower grassland for a hands-on conservation event. Firstly there will be an introduction to how the area was established and is being managed, followed by hands-on work reducing agricultural weeds and planting wildflower plugs grown locally from seed. Finally there will be time for recording of the species found. There will be plenty of opportunity to chat with the folk involved in the project.

All welcome but unfortunately no dogs as the event is within the cemetery. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear boots or strong shoes and outdoor clothes suitable for the weather. Long trousers and long sleeves are recommended (there may be ticks). We will have a selection of adult gardening gloves but feel free to bring your own if you have them (sorry, no children's gloves will be available). Bring a drink and a snack or lunch if you would like to stay. Unfortunately there are no local toilet facilities. There is a large off-road car park. Please do not park in the layby at the roadside.
