Looking for little terns at Goswick

A walk to look for little terns and plovers at Goswick Beach NNR

Join us for a walk from Goswick Beach to the monitoring site within the Lindisfarne NNR with a volunteer, to look for nesting little terns and plovers. There is always the chance to see other sea and coastal birds, coastal plants and if luck favours us some offshore cetaceans.

Please note absolutely no dogs please. Family friendly but children over 8 only under adult supervision. Binoculars and telescopes will be of great benefit. Suitable footwear and clothing please as this is a beach walk through dunes and it may be cool in the evening. Unfortunately there is no disabled access beyond the car park and there is no public transport.

Meet at Goswick Golf Course car park, TD15 2PA, NU047458, what three words - snowballs.cheerily.responded.

Travel south from Berwick on the A1 and follow signs to Goswick on your left. The road has a number of small junctions, please follow signs for Goswick Golf Club.
