Himalayan balsam bash

Come along for a practical volunteer session beside the River Teith.

We will be pulling up invasive Himalayan balsam growing along the river from the end of Geisher Road to the Turn Pool. It is easy to pull up and hang up to dry. There is some rough, damp ground so we recommend strong footwear. There may also be brambles and nettles so long sleeves and trousers are recommended. Gloves and goggles will be provided. It is easy to get back to the parking site if you need to leave early.

Meet at river end of Geisher Road, past the recycling centre, postcode FK17 8LX.

Please contact Lesley Hawkins, mlhawkins@tiscali.co.uk if you are planning on coming or require more information.

Children must be accompanied by an adult. No dogs allowed except assistance dogs. Parking nearby. Accessible by public transport.
