Cranshaws community walk

A riverside walk at Cranshaws village, church, orchard and Whiteadder River.

This walk, established in 2021, follows the Whiteadder river where it flows past Cranshaws village in the Lammermuir Hills north of Duns. Initially there is an incline or two, with excellent views to the west. The walk then descends and hugs the river (a bit too closely if there has been rain!). The route will then loop back to the car park along the river. Suitable footwear needed and appropriate clothing. Bring binoculars if you have them.

We'll meet at Harehead car park off the B6355 on the right just after the bridge 1km north of Cranshaws village. TD11 3SL, NT688628, WhatThreeWords: described.duke.thickened. From Duns, head north towards Preston and take the left fork signed to Cranshaws (B6355). Follow through Cranshaws to find the car park on the right at a road junction. It has a Cranshaws Community Walk sign in the corner.

No dogs please and children over 8 accompanied by an adult only.

Booking essential.
