Cambus Pools volunteer day

Join the Stirling and Clackmannanshire Group for a volunteer day at Cambus Pools. This will be a great opportunity to connect with nature and meet like-minded people, as well as carry out essential maintenance at one of our reserves. We will be carrying out scrub and tree pruning to help with path and access maintenance.

Cambus Pools is a vital wetland habitat supporting a range of birdlife, including waders, ducks, and geese. Keeping the pathways clear and accessible ensures that visitors can enjoy and appreciate the reserve while also maintaining safe access for monitoring and conservation work. Overgrown scrub and tree branches can obstruct trails, prevent plant access for maintenance and reduce visibility, discouraging visitors and limiting site management.

Volunteers should wear weather-appropriate clothing. Please bring a packed lunch and water. Tea/coffee will be provided during breaks. All tools will be provided, but volunteers may bring their own if preferred.

We shall meet at Devon Place, Cambus, FK10 2NU, grid reference NS854940.

Please contact Chris Kilmartin - ckilmartin@scottishwildlifetrust.org.uk to confirm attendance.
