Join us for a guided walk around Levenhall Links and Musselburgh Lagoons led by Wildlife Ranger Kristian Purchase. The plan is to visit the recently created invertebrate meadow and pond at the east end of the Levenhall Links site, then walk round to the old scrapes and on to the new lagoons near the mouth of the River Esk, before returning to the start point. The paths are generally well made up and level though they may be muddy in parts. High tide is at 14:24.
Remember to take binoculars and telescope (if you have one) and wear suitable clothing and footwear for the weather and terrain. Since the full walk will take around 2.5 hours, you may also wish to take a light snack and something to drink en route. There are no toilet facilities on the site.
Booking is essential and details of the meeting place will be shared with people who have registered for a ticket to attend. Please note the charge of £3.70 per person. £3 of this amount is a fee charged by East Lothian Council for their ranger service; and the additional 70p is a ticketing charge levied by Eventbrite, our event hosting platform.
Any payments made for donation tickets can only be treated as a donation to the Lothians Group and cannot be accepted in lieu of the £3 charge made by East Lothian Council for their ranger service.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear. No dogs allowed except assistance dogs.
Bookable face-to-face events may be subject to change at short notice, which will be communicated to attendees via email by the organiser. Please be aware that if the weather forecast is particularly bad the event may be rescheduled. Please check your email in advance of attending events. Note that booking generally ends two hours prior to the event start time. If you wish to book to attend after registration has ended, and there are places still available, please contact the organiser direct using the details above.
