Bankhead Moss reserve – visit to a raised peat bog

Discover the wildlife of a raised peat bog, rare in this part of Scotland.

Join us in the 60th anniversary year of the Scottish Wildlife Trust at one of the first sites acquired by the Trust in Fife, Bankhead Moss. Raised peat bogs are rare in this part of Scotland. Learn about the uncommon plants, animals and birds of this unique Scottish Wildlife Trust site and its fascinating history.

Children 8+ years only please and must be with an adult. Dogs on leads. The ground is often wet and uneven so please bring suitable footwear and waterproofs.

Due to a shortage of parking on the reserve we will meet at 1.45pm in Peat Inn village. There is roadside parking at NO4534 3453, What3Words ///altitude.marshes.sidelined
