Join us for a talk on safeguarding and celebrating Scotland's marine treasures, which will follow a brief Glasgow Group Annual General Meeting.
A member of the Scottish Wildlife Trust’s Living Seas team will tell us about the work of the project. Scotland has a vast and diverse marine area that supports many habitats and much wildlife. However, human activities have harmed the health of the seas and they require effective and sustainable management. The Trust’s Living Seas project works at both national and local levels to improve our knowledge of the marine environment and engage with stakeholders. The project also helps people appreciate Scotland’s seas through snorkel trails and other activities. Before the talk there will be a 30-minute film tjhe detailing work of the Living Seas project.
Meet at Hyndland Secondary School, Airlie Theatre, Clarence Drive, Glasgow, G12 9RQ.
