Young Scots focus on the environment this December

Scottish schoolchildren have produced some extraordinary images as part of the 2011 Focus Environment awards.

The competition, a partnership between the Scottish Wildlife Trust, BTCV Scotland and Chevron, encourages young people between the ages of 11 and 18 to demonstrate their awareness of the natural world around them.

Young people can win in three categories: My Environment, Wildlife and Habitats and Nature’s Moods.

The competition is open to all Scotland’s schools. This inspiring event brings together business and conservation to promote Scotland’s environment, education and the arts.

The Scottish Wildlife Trust would like to thank all the young people who entered the competition and congratulate the winners on some incredible images.

Our Young Ambassador, Sam Cairns secured first place in his age group in the Nature's Moods category with his stunning Winter Landscape.
