Victorian Grand Tours at the Falls of Clyde

The Scottish Wildlife Trust is delighted to announce the arrival of the “Victorian Grand Tour”, starting this Sunday (28 April) at the Falls of Clyde in New Lanark.

Join your costumed guide Lady Geraldine Lockhart-Ross on a splendid promenade to celebrate the spectacular scenery and wildlife wonders of the Falls of Clyde. Storyteller Lady Geraldine will enthrall you with her intimate knowledge of New Lanark folklore and legend, while sharing some of the history of the Victorians and the area itself.

Lady Geraldine commented: “I am delighted to be sharing my New Lanark memories and wee stories with the refined visitors of the Falls of Clyde. If you think you know everything there is to know about this part of the world, think again!”

The “Victorian Grand Tour” will depart every Sunday at 11 am from outside New Lanark Hotel, and will take around two hours in total. Visitors are encouraged to wear stout footwear as the route can be muddy in parts.

Places are limited for this unique event, so please call 01555 665 262 or visit scottishwildlifetrust.org.uk/events to book. We look forward to making your acquaintance!
