Trust welcomes new Environment Minister

The Scottish Wildlife Trust welcomes the appointment of the new Minister for Environment and Climate Change, Paul Wheelhouse MSP, but warns that there are plenty of live issues in his in-tray.

Scottish Wildlife Trust Chief Executive Simon Milne said:

“We look forward to working with the new Minister, Paul Wheelhouse.

“Among his priorities will be the forthcoming Aquaculture and Fisheries Bill. We hope he will work to achieve healthy, well managed seas – for the benefit of wildlife and people.

“We will be setting out our vision for Scotland’s environment with the new Minister. The Scottish Wildlife Trust wants to see a rebuilt natural environment where society can continue to benefit from the vital services that nature provides.”
