Last week, the Trust raised, £411 in easyfundraising.org.uk’s ‘Christmas Dome Challenge’ in Edinburgh.
The event – which was inspired by 90s TV game show, The Crystal Maze – gave teams the opportunity to spend a minute in the ‘#ChristmasDome’ and collect as many gold tickets as they could. For every gold ticket collected, £3 has been donated by easyfundraising to the Trust. However, there were also silver tickets inside the dome, and every one collected resulted in a £1 deduction from the total.
The team from Scottish Wildlife Trust, who came top of the league table, raised a whopping £411 in a mere 60 seconds.
Head of Development for the Scottish Wildlife Trust, Lucy Graham, said: “The Scottish Wildlife Trust team had great time undertaking the Christmas Dome Challenge.
“The Trust would like to thanks easyfundraising, org,uk for the opportunity to take part. The Scottish Wildlife Trust would urge people to sign up. It is making a real difference for iconic Scottish species such as red squirrels, otters and ospreys that need our help to remain in our landscape for future generations.”
Caroline Adams, Head of Marketing at easyfundraising.org.uk, said: “The Christmas Dome Challenge was both a social and financial success. We’re delighted at how many charities and causes benefited from the activity, how much money participants managed to raise and how much fun everyone had!”
