Last year we completed our snorkel trail network, which now includes over 80 sites on 13 different trails that cover the length and breadth of Scotland. Each one highlights the amazing wildlife that lives in our seas, and now they’re even easier to discover thanks to our new, dedicated snorkelling website.
The website contains a wealth of advice information, from wildlife guides to safety tips to details on local amenities. Leaflets for each trail are also available to download, so beginners and experts alike can plan the perfect snorkelling day out or holiday.
Elouise Dalziel, our Marine Policy Inclusion Officer, who has been vital to the development of the network, said: “Co-developing Scotland’s Snorkel Trail Network has been nothing short of a true privilege. It’s incredibly special to have been entrusted to share in such treasured coastal spaces, in peoples’ local heritage and their marine values. Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone involved. We look forward to continuing to support this strong network and invite everyone to dive in with us, to experience the wonders of Scotland’s seas and marine life for yourself!”
The Trust would like to thank the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation for generously supporting the development of the snorkel trail network.
