The Scottish Wildlife Trust has today urged members of the Scottish Parliament to give full recognition to the value of greenspace to people and the economy.
Nature-rich greenspace is a crucial feature of high quality and attractive places where people want to live their lives. Nature-rich places are not only good for wildlife – they can be good for the economy too. They attract inward investment, are tourist honey pots and provide ecosystem services such as reducing air pollution and flood risk.
