Tree-mendous family fun day at Montrose Basin

A tree-mendous day out promising fun for all the family is on offer locally this weekend, as staff at the Scottish Wildlife Trust’s Montrose Basin Wildlife Reserve and Visitor Centre prepare to host ‘Tree-mendous trees.’

Set to be held this Sunday (22 August) between 10.30 am and 5 pm, families can enjoy outdoor activities such as bark rubbing, as well as getting creative by leaf painting.  Prizes can also even be won by the lucky players of leaf bingo.

Caroline Hendry, Scottish Wildlife Trust’s Montrose Basin Visitor Centre Manager, said:  “With events designed to have the whole family completing fun activities together while getting outdoors in the spectacular setting of Montrose Basin to learn more about Scotland’s amazing wildlife, you could say you’d be ‘barking’ mad to miss it.”

To get as much as possible out of the events, the Scottish Wildlife Trust advises that participants should arrive promptly and remember to dress for the weather.  Events are also reasonably priced at £7.50 for a family of two adults and two children; or £4.00 per adult and £3.00 per concession.  Members of the Scottish Wildlife Trust can participate for free.
