Trust calls on MPs to back motion against badger cull

Head of Policy and Planning for the Scottish Wildlife Trust, Dr Maggie Keegan, has written to MPs urging them to stand for a motion against the badger cull in England.

In the letter Dr Keegan said: “On Wednesday 5 June there will be an Opposition Day debate on the Government's plans for a badger cull. The wording for the motion reads 'This House believes the badger cull should not go ahead’.

“The Scottish Wildlife Trust, is asking you to back the motion so as to halt the Government’s pilot badger culls in Gloucestershire and Somerset which are due to commence anytime from 1 June 2013.
