Commenting on the news that the Scottish Government has decided to streamline sustainability delivery (http://www.scotland.gov.uk/News/Releases/2010/11/25162957):
Jonny Hughes, Scottish Wildlife Trust Director of Conservation, said: “The Sustainable Development Commission is central to the promotion and delivery of sustainable development in Scotland and its demise is very bad news. The Scottish Government needs the advice and expertise of this Commission now more than ever and cutting this source of informed advice is a very damaging move, doubly so as it will effectively scupper the work of the Scottish Sustainable Development Forum.”
